Association
for Psychological Type
The Association for Psychological Type International, founded in 1979,
is an international membership organization open to any individual
interested in personality type. APT members come from a variety of
backgrounds and professions including positions in business and industry,
organization development, religion, education, psychotherapy and counseling.
Members seek to extend the development, research, applications and
ethical use of Type Theory.
APT provides opportunities for sharing type information through publications,
international and regional conferences, local chapter meetings, and various
training programs.
The Center For Applications Of Psychological Type
CAPT's mission is to extend and teach the accurate understanding of the
ethical and practical applications of C.G. Jung's theory of psychological
types, which shows how our differences in experiencing events and making
decisions can be valuable rather than divisive. Such differences
can be used constructively to:
- Promote personal development
- Manage conflict and
- Increase human understanding worldwide.
CAPT was founded in 1975 by Isabel Briggs Myers and Mary McCaulley. CAPT
supports its mission through publishing, training and research.
The Myers & Briggs Foundation
The mission of the Myers & Briggs Foundation is to continue the pioneering
work of Katharine
Cook Briggs and Isabel Briggs Myers in the field of psychological
type, especially the ethical and accurate use of the Myers-Briggs Type
Indicator® instrument. These goals are achieved through the following
methods:
- Extending the benefits of psychological type throughout the world
- Expanding the MBTI® theory to encompass new understanding and
research
- Encouraging the development and use of tools appropriate to the understanding
of psychological type as a complex dynamic system
- Educating through conferences, symposia, and the publication of monographs
The Vermont Association for Psychological Type International
The Vermont Chapter for the Association for Psychological Type International
is an affiliate of The Association for Psychological Type International. Its
mission is to improve interpersonal communication, organizational effectiveness
and personal growth. To accomplish this, VT APT offers events
that promote the understanding and appreciation of psychological type.
Daniel Goleman
Psychologist Daniel Goleman, Ph.D., is the author of the New York Times
bestseller Emotional Intelligence and Social Intelligence: The New
Science of Human Relationships. While not the “discoverer” of
Emotional Intelligence (EQ), Dr. Goleman has made the subject accessible
to millions of people who are not psychologists or psychiatrists.

The ESOP Association
Focuses on employee ownership through employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs).
Provides members with information through conferences, publications, and local
chapters. The Association also directs a congressional and regulatory agency
advocacy program for the purpose of protecting and enhancing ESOP law.
The New England Chapter of The ESOP Association
One of the most active and vibrant chapters in The ESOP Association, New England
is home to some of the best-known ESOP companies in the country. Presenter

The National Center for Employee Ownership
A private, nonprofit membership and research organization that serves as a leading
source of information on employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs), equity compensation
plans such as stock options, and ownership culture. Publisher and research
source on all matters of employee ownership. Presenter of Webinars and
live meetings on the subject of employee ownership.

A non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and fostering employee ownership.
